Terms and conditions

  • Fees once paid are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-adjustable under any circumstances.
  • Entry to the Library is restricted from mid night to 06.00AM. However, the Library operates 24 x 7.
  • Mobile phones are STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the reading hall and should be left in the lockers made available to you. If any member is found using the mobile phone, he/she will be asked to leave the Library immediately. No arguments or misbehaviour with the staff members/others will be tolerated.
  • No form of communication is allowed within the reading hall. If any member is found doing so, he/ she will be asked to leave the Library immediately, without any argument or excuse. For further entry to the Library, he / she will need to send a mail to Prof. Shukla on psl@live.in to obtain permission for the same.
  • Members have to login & logout every time they enter or exit the reading hall. They will remain logged out only for a maximum duration of 30 minutes, that too when they have not moved out of the Library Premises, after which they will be marked 'End of the Day'.
  • Members moving out of the premises need to follow the process for 'End of the Day'. If any member fails to do so, their membership will be blocked for the day and they cannot enter the reading hall again. For further entry to the library he/ she will need to send a mail to Prof. Shukla on psl@live.in to obtain permission for the same.
  • Members can select their seat from the available vacant seats at the time of entering the reading hall. The seat can be changed only if he/ she experiences discomfort and complies with the required procedure.
  • Members should adopt correct seating postures and maintain decorum. Placing feet on chairs, reclining in an uncouth fashion is not acceptable and he/she can be asked to stand corrected or leave the premises.
  • Eatables (including chewing gum)/ drinks are NOT allowed to be carried inside the Reading Hall.
  • Internet usage is complimentary. In case of disruption of services, management is NOT answerable to any member. Storing of files downloading / playing games, accessing e-mails, chatting, surfing sites for purposes other than related to studies is strictly prohibited.
  • Members are NOT allowed to keep their belongings / books In the library during their absence from the premises.
  • Management is not responsible for any loss of or damages to members' belongings.
  • The temperature setting of the A.C. is static and will remain unchanged. Members are advised to get warm clothes if they feel cold
  • Member are NOT allowed to sit on Visitors' Chairs/ Sofas.
  • The entire Library premises is a No Talk Zone. The cafeteria, passages and staircase should not be used as a discussion zone .
  • Smoking is not permitted within and around the premises.
